It was a Tuesday afternoon and I said to the kids let’s go for a walk together tomorrow. Jamile suggested if we wait until Thursday she could take extra time and show me a walk she’d found just recently near Euroa, so last Thursday afternoon on a very cold day we  rugged up, packed a small daypack and our favourite music (Passenger‘s latest album & Nahko and Medicine for the People – that we fell in love with at Bluesfest) into the car and headed towards the Strathbogie Ranges chatting and singing along the way. I hoped it wouldn’t rain. It didn’t, yay! We climbed up Balmattum hill, stopped along the way to explore the boulders and take some photos. We headed towards the top of Balmattum Hill and at the end kept on going into a paddock full of mist. It got thicker and thicker and colder and colder and eventually we headed back down again. As we drove home we sang all the way.
“Nature has been for me, for as long as I remember, a source of solace, inspiration, adventure, and delight; a home, a teacher, a companion.” Lorraine Anderson.

No matter what is going on in our lives we always have each other and there is nothing like the bond between us (this is a little selfie from my iphone cuddled together to keep ourselves warm in my wrap)
