an amazing opportunity for the youth of this region… Sheppsounds 2012

Sheppsounds is a not-for-profit youth music initiative – helping talented performers in Shepparton take their original songs out of the bedroom and onto a bigger stage.Four female songstresses and a male hip-hop duo  are the lucky ones that have been chosen for Sheppsounds 2012

Jorja Bromley, Charlotte Gemmill,  Stevie Renee, Kate Hall, Young Ugees (Kenneth Bwihambi and Oliver Byamasu) will be releasing music and playing live September/October 2012.Sheppsounds provides an amazing opportunity for growth whilst having lots of fun.

Liz Arcus Photography is very proud the sponsor this youth intiative for the second year.  Just recently we got together for some photos. Thankyou  to Derrick Bwihambi for taking behind the scenes photos.

Music keeps me going and I love to see the youth grow and strive to be the best that they can be – the group is diverse and has a wonderful energy about.

Watch out for the live performances soon and head along and support them. They are so very talented.

Thank you to Kiel Egging, Project Director for starting this youth initiative in 2011 and bringing it to the Shepparton region again this year and to Tony Mac that joins the crew as Project Manager this year.

  • Derrick Bwihambi - Hi there,
Every time I wake up in the morning I listen to different melodies sing by birds. I usually wanted to see these birds but I can’t. It is the time I have to go to work or to school. I don’t know the birds but I know their melodies.
Today, similar thing is happening through SheppSounds. Indeed, in different way. We can see their birds but we cannot listen to their melodies. Their birds are dressed very nice. Which sounds or melodies your birds have. We are thirsty! We need to hear their voices.
I feel this sounds to be tremendous, unique and splendid.
We are waiting, patiently sitting looking left and right.
Please let us know where the voice will come from. Shepp East? Shepp West? Shepp North? or South?

    Yes, were waiting.

This is my poem for SheppSounds
