Backyard Iftar

Well it sure did grow! Last year in Betul’s backyard, this time in Shepparton’s backyard with an Iftar gathering of around 200 people in the Queen’s Gardens. It was amazing and a very relaxing beautiful night.

A halal dinner was prepared by Hijack’d so everyone could experience the beautiful tradition of breaking fast together during the month of Ramadan.
There were also special performances by the Melbourne based Sufi spiritual dance group the EKOL School of Arts Whirling Dervishes and Shepparton based Afghan musician Xakir Hussain.

Supported by:
Multicultural Arts Victoria, Gandel Philanthropy, Australia Council for the Arts, Ethnic Council Shepparton.
