Jamie and Allan’s ‘Wedding Thing’

On the invitation it was called a Wedding Thing. The sign at the entrance and instagram hashtags called it a a Wedding Bash. Others may call it a music festival, a picnic,a party. All I can say is that my friends Jamie and Allan celebrated with one hell of an awesome day and night. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate. What made it even more special was the entire wedding (every last tincy tiny detail) was put together and involved Jamie and Allan’s friends, family and community! And with Jamie being an event co-ordinator and Jamie and Allan being musicians themselves the day ran amazingly!

Family isn’t always about the people in your life who are blood relations It’s about the people in your life who want you to be in theirs. There aren’t enough words to truly express how grateful we are for our wedding day but for the love we feel or for the life we live. We are simply blessed. Thank you to the village that surrounds us.. We only wish we could always be surrounded by those we love, ALL THE TIME. No matter how big or small the time we spend together, thank you for effecting our lives in a positive way.

We value nothing more than being involved in our community and we were honored to be in the centre of such a beautiful body of people on that day. Everyone contributed generously and brought their own personal touch in some way from the cake, to the music, the flowers, the decorations and general time and effort to make our day the most fun, vibrant and memorable day of our lives together so far. xx
