10 years together before he said, “Will you?”
10 weeks later we said “I do”
“Can there be anything more beautiful than young love?” And the answer is given: ” Yes, there is a more beautiful thing, old love.”
“Stacey, today you become my wife and I your husband.”
“Kodey today you become my husband and I your wife.”
“You are my best friend and my lover.”
“I promise to love you even on the days I don’t like you.”
“I promise to frustrate and challenge you and share with you all the beautiful moments in life.”
“I promise to kill all the spiders and keep you safe from any bee that comes near your hair.”
“I promise to go fishing with you provided you take care of anything slimy, scaly and smelly.”
“And finally, I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all that I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how – completely and forever.”
Our day was casual, romantic, funny and just perfect!

At first we were not sure we were going to go through with the whole surprise wedding plan, but as soon as we started enquiring everything just seemed to all just fall straight into place! The caterers we wanted were free that night, the marquee and hire gear was available, our celebrant we had was a perfect fit and to top it off we secured the best photographer (The beautiful Liz). I couldn’t believe it, photographers book out months in advance and our wedding was only weeks away!
It was a busy few months of organising and running around and to top it off we went to Bali for a week in between (this had been planned months before). I avoided everyone for weeks so I didn’t let the secret slip! ( Although I think more people knew than they had lead on )
We had the most perfect day, great weather, great atmosphere and got to share it with all the people we love the most!
We even said our vows perfectly with no mistakes and the guests seemed to enjoy them as much as we did.
It was a casual fun party which was exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t have done it without the help and support of our bridal party, close family and all the people involved in the surprise planning. We cannot thank them enough.
Seriously best day ever!
